Improve the quality of teaching in basic schools in Kurdistan
This project is one of the European Union Capacity Buildings project in the field of higher education institutions. The project Erasmus -LS TeachersMOD will be funded by the European Union in the framework of the Capacity Building for Higher Education and the project will be directed and coordinated by university of Pavia-Italy.
It is concerned with Basic Education teachers skills upgrading. The project consist of two modules, first the methodology of teaching in Basic Schools via the College of Basic Education, and the second module is concerned with updating, developing the syllabus, and course books of the subjects taught in the Colleges of Basic Educations in Kurdistan Region. The goal is to Capacity Building of Basic Education academic staff and teachers through conducting workshops and trainings to produce highly qualified academic staff, which in turn becomes TOT to train students and teach basic education students. To achieve this, three ToT training workshops will be organized. The first workshop will be at the university of Pavia-Italy in the period October 29th to November 4th, 2023, the second and the third workshops will be circular visits to the university of Alto Duro-Portugal and University of Granada -Spain in the period November 12th, to November 18th, 2023.Also the Pedagogy development and the quality assurance involvement during the implementation process are another two other major tasks. The life period of the project is two years, starts from March 2023 until March 2025.
